Our Inspection Services
Comprehensive Home Inspection
A thorough Jolly home inspection will help you evaluate the overall condition of a dwelling, based on observation of the visible condition of the structure and its components at the time of the inspection. It consists of a non-invasive physical examination of the home’s systems, structures and components and documents any material defects that exist at the time of the inspection.
We’ll activate the heating and cooling equipment to make sure they’re working properly, and we’ll test the plumbing fixtures, accessible electrical outlets and fixtures, and check the doors and windows, in accordance with ASHI Standards of Practice, which includes the following:
- Foundation and basement
- Any additional structural components
- Interior plumbing systems
- Interior electrical systems
- Heating and cooling systems
- Condition of windows
- Condition of doors and door frames
- Condition of floors, walls, and ceilings
- The attic and any visible insulation
New Construction (Pre-Final Walkthrough)
This inspection should be scheduled a few days before your scheduled walk-through with your builder. This will ensure that the building process is near completion so systems can be inspected.
This inspection allows you to detect possible defects in structures and components that would likely be found later in a buyer’s inspection. By having a Pre-Listing Inspection before you put your house on the market, you can address any defects on your own timetable, before it compromises a sale .
We offer comprehensive professional inspections on commercial properties up to 7,500 square feet, including office buildings, medical offices, and retail centers, among others. Options include comprehensive inspections, pre-purchase inspections, and pre- and post-lease inspections for landlords and tenants.
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that is a decay product of uranium. Although not found everywhere, radon is relatively common in the Triangle area and can build up in enclosed spaces and cause health problems for family members. Homeowners are encouraged to test homes, especially basements, for the presence of this gas. In addition to testing, we also specialize in installing radon mitigation systems if radon is discovered.
12 Month Anniversary Inspection (One Year Warranty)
For an added measure of assurance, it helps a new home owner to know that any problems are addressed before they grow into something bigger and more expensive down the road. Most homebuilders provide a one-year warranty for new construction. Hire America’s Home Checkers to help you develop a punch list of corrections for your contractor to fix while the warranty is still in effect.
If our initial home inspection finds any repairs that should be made by a licensed contractor, we’ll be happy to come in after the work is completed and conduct a follow-up inspection.
The Jolly Family’s professional experience and personal touch is your best first step to help you develop the knowledge and comfort that good real estate investments require.
